(Rosalba
becerra)
Amaranth
seeds are tan or light brown in color and are about the
size of poppy seeds. Amaranth it’s
high in protein, particularly in the amino acid, lysine,
which is low in the cereal grains. In fact, Amaranth has
the highest lysine content of all the grains. The
grain is also potentially useful as a source of
small-grained specialty starch and as a source of
squalene oil.
There
are over 60 species of amaranth. Our certified organic
grain is of the purest quality that can be found among planted
varieties.
